Chris Adams

Chris Adams is a performance consultant and instructional designer with over 20 years of experience helping clients engage people, apply processes, and implement technology to improve human and organizational performance. He is currently a senior consultant for Handshaw, Inc. in Charlotte, NC.

In 1999, Chris was co-inventor of Handshaw’s award-winning software, Lumenix – one of the first content-managed platforms for e-learning. Chris has been a featured speaker for a number of ISPI and ATD chapters and has presented at regional and international conferences such as ATD ICE, Training Solutions, The Performance Improvement Conference, and the Coast Guard Human Performance Technology Conference.

Chris holds degrees in mass communication and instructional systems technology. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Instructional Design and Technology program at Old Dominion University, where his research interests include applying new perspectives from design research to human performance technology.

Robb Bingham, Learning & Communications Strategist, Converging Solutions

Over the last 15 years, Robb has been honored to serve as a volunteer and on the local boards of multiple ATD chapters including Greater Atlanta (President), Greater Twin Cities (Membership), and Middle Tennessee (Programming). For his “day job” Robb has served organizations in a number of different roles, from Trainer, Designer, Developer, and Producer, to Team Lead, National Curriculum Manager, and these days as a Learning Strategy Consultant. Robb most enjoys helping start-up and new initiative teams work together developing new, creative solutions to relevant business problems using a framework he coined the Converging Solutions Problem Solving Model. Robb also spent several years (back in the dark ages) performing and directing on the dinner theatre circuit. From that heritage, he shares practical solutions in an engaging, authentic way that resonates with audiences from 1 to 1000.

Dr. Kathleen Fortney’s experience includes training design and development; project management; business analysis; and performance consulting. Kathleen has led a number of major training initiatives for Fortune 500 Corporations, including design and development of eLearning, instructor-led training, process documentation, change management, and performance support portals. Several of her projects have been the recipient of Brandon Hall awards. She has been a speaker at ISPI, ASTDTech, University of Chicago Women Connect, and the Chicagoland eLearning Technology Showcase. She has facilitated training and train-the-trainer sessions on a variety of topics, and has taught graduate courses in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, and Consulting Skills as a member of the adjunct faculty at Northern Illinois University.

Alli Nabers is a performance consultant who helps companies execute their learning and development strategies by transforming client's training and productivity challenges into profitable opportunities through talent, technology and learning solutions. Alli works with a wide variety of industries all over the nation but she excels in the financial services space and enjoys contributing to her community by working with Atlanta based companies. With Judge Learning Solutions, Alli provides Instructor led training, custom content development and eLearning, project management services, and training related staffing. Alli has assisted clients with Agile Transformations, Diversity and Inclusion training, revamped learning strategies, transitioned training to microlearning, sales and leadership training, coaching and more. Alli has a BBA from the great Kennesaw State University and MBA from Georgia Southern.
Dov Jacobson

     Dov is a pioneer in the application of game science to adult learning. He acquired entertainment game design skills in New York and Los Angeles.  After several years as the head of Turner's game studio, he turned from entertainment to address the  development of human potential. His studio, GamesThatWork, solves difficult training problems for military,  and intelligence community clients, for researchers and nonprofits as well as for corporations like Boeing and AT&T. Always eager to explore new technologies,  the team has created several virtual reality experiences as it has been exploring immersive technologies. Dov looks forward to share this exploration with conference attendees.
 Don Kirkey

Don Kirkey, Ed.D., has over 30 years of international experience assessing and developing employees and leaders and supporting major change and performance improvement initiatives. He works in partnership with executive management in the software, electrical engineering, construction, manufacturing, and retail industries and the nonprofit arena. He has managed onboarding in major corporations. Don's doctoral research focused on applying onboarding research to an inner-city job training program to reduce the dropout rate.

Currently, Don is the President and Principal Consultant for the Trinity Creek Group, a consulting group focused on strategic workforce performance improvement in Charlotte, NC. He teaches human performance improvement at UNC Charlotte and needs assessment at Boise State University.

Dr. Michael Leimbach is a globally recognized author and expert in instructional design and leadership development, sharing his message that it is not about what you learn but what you use. Dr. Leimbach is Vice President of Global Research and Development for Wilson Learning Worldwide. With more than 25 years in the field, he provides leadership for researching and designing Wilson Learning's diagnostic, learning, and performance improvement capabilities. He has managed major research studies in sales, leadership, and organizational effectiveness. Dr. Leimbach also developed Wilson Learning's impact evaluation capability and return on investment models. He has served as a research consultant for a wide variety of global client organizations, is the Editor-in-Chief of the ADHR professional journal, and serves on the ISO Technical Committee on Quality Standards for Learning Service Providers.


Susanne Ohihoin

Susanne holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the Otto-von-Guericke University and a Master of Science degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Phoenix. She is currently completing her doctoral degree program in I/O Psychology at the University of Phoenix. In August 2015, she became a research affiliate at the Center for Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Research, one of the research centers created by the School of Advanced Studies to foster, streamline, and support research among faculty, learners, and alumni.Before moving to Florida,Susanne worked in a large organization with an emphasis on training and development. Part of her work in that role was to develop and analyze the impact of new employee program.
Ajay Pangarkar

Ajay is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP). Ajay, with partner Teresa Kirkwood, published three books with their recent titled, “The Trainers Balanced Scorecard: A Complete Resource for Linking Learning and Growth to Organizational Strategy" (Wiley). Under his leadership, Training Magazine awarded CentralKnowledge their Technology in Action, Learning Management Project of the year for success with Apple. He is an award-winning writer winning the 2014 and 2015 prestigious TrainingIndustry.com Readership and Editors’ Award. Mary Ann Wright, Manager, Learning Design

Mary Ann is a Manager of Learning Design at The Home Depot, where she leads a team of instructional designers who focus on developing leaders across the enterprise. She has over 20 years of experience in a variety of roles in learning across industries. She holds a Ph.D. inindustrial/organizational psychology, with a research focus in leadership, and has served as an I/0 consultant.

Mary Ann's career started as a professional competitive ballroom dancer during which she taught, coached, and competed for 10 years. Since then, she has worked in sales, retail, academia, and mental health. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kelsey Rogut, Instructional Designer 

Kelsey Rogut is an Instructional Designer at The Home Depot who specializes in leadership training and development. She designs and develops instructor-led training classes and events, eLearning courses, and on-the-job, vertical development activities. In the vertical development space, she most recently co-designed a program for new leaders across the Company that combined learning assignments, on-the-job micro-assignments, personal reflections, and group discussions. She is passionate about designing experiences that develop great leaders because great leaders can positively impact the lives of those they lead. Kelsey has a Master’s degree from Tulane University, and she is pursuing a certificate in Human Resources Management from Emory University and her PHR certification at the end of 2018.

Dan Richards

Dan Richards is Chief Learning Strategy Officer with Interactive Advantage Corporation, an e-learning development services group based in Suwanee, Georgia. Dan has a background in education and is a 17-year veteran of e-learning technology and solution architecture having completed hundreds of projects on subjects that range from sales training to nursing informatics to nuclear power plant operations. He frequently speaks on subjects that include mobile learning, scenario-based learning, SCORM and Tin Can API, Section 508 compliance, and e-learning as an enterprise practice. As a teacher, Dan brings his real-world experience into the classroom. She has conducted needs assessments, performed evaluations, evaluated curricula, and developed certifications. She is also a founding member of the Institute for Performance Improvement and has taught instructional design as a graduate adjunct faculty member at Boise State University.
