2020 (Virtual) Trainer Showdown

November 19th is going to be epic and we have narrowed down the submission to five worthy candidates to claim the title of the 2020 Greater Atlanta ATD Showdown.   Maybe next year you could be the next winner of this annual event.

Meet the Finalists:

Margaret Remi:  Is a Public Health Scientist and Personal Wealth Coach that teaches black women how to master their money in order to make room for wealth. In my studies in Biomedical Sciences, I became aware that poverty can be a major indicator of health. I started coaching black women to improve their finances because I believe that reducing the racial wealth gap can contribute to reducing health disparities. I am passionate about helping as many black women as she can apply simple strategies to spend with purpose, increase their savings, significantly reduce their debt. I advocate for wealth education as a means to improve black health on various media and conference platforms. I enjoy discussing how making room wealth is the key to increasing one's net worth and starting the journey to financial independence. When I'm not working with clients or being a scientist, you can find me at happy hour with friends (pre and post covid) or at home being an introvert watching Hulu and YouTube.

Monique Russell:  Monique Russell is the communications expert you want on your team. She teaches global leaders and teams on how to turn likes into loves using effective communications tools and strategies.

Organizations like the Centers for Disease Control, Verizon, Intel, Equifax, and the world’s busiest airport, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International, trust Monique to guide them in implementing communication strategies that foster connection, community, creativity, and courage. You can too.

Monique has 20 years’ experience in the science of Communications and leads Clear Communication Solutions – an international training, coaching, and consulting firm that focuses on confidently communicating from the inside out. Her upcoming book, Intentional Motherhood focuses on the belief that Motherhood is about identity and not age.

Robb Bingham: He has played a number of different roles within organizations, from Trainer, Instructional Designer, Developer, and Producer, to Team Lead, National Curriculum Manager, and External Consultant. However, he most enjoys helping start-up teams work more effectively together to develop new, creative solutions to relevant business problems using a framework he developed, called the Converging Solutions Model.

He has been actively involved with local chapters of ATD (Association for Talent Development) from Nashville, to Minneapolis, to Atlanta, where he also served as the VP of Strategic Partnerships and Chapter President!

Aly Lecznar:   Aly Lecznar, CPDT-KA, ATD Master Trainer™, is both a certified dog trainer and master trainer of people as well! After successfully starting and operating her own dog teaching, human training business for 4 years, Aly went to work training dog trainers.

As the Curriculum Manager for the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behavior, Aly analyses, develops, delivers, implements, and evaluates online and in-person learner-centered, performance-based experiences for aspiring professional dog trainers, pet professionals, and dog owners. She received the Master Trainer™ certification from the Association of Talent Development (ATD) as well as a certification in Adult Learning. In her spare time, Aly enjoys canicrossing with her standard poodle, Klaus.

Brandon Smith:  Brandon is a Personnel Psychologist for the Department of Veterans Affairs where he leverages evidence-based methods to improve talent management practice. Brandon has a master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia. He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve. His diverse military experience includes two tours in Iraq, duty as a Drill Sergeant, and experience as a Master Resilience Trainer (MRT) where he taught Soldiers practical skills to bounce back from adversity. Brandon combines his academic training, leadership experience, and skills as an MRT to help leaders, teams, and workers thrive in today’s VUCA environment.
