Meet the Panel:

Dr. Aisha Wright-Burke, SHRM-SCP 

As a strategic and collaborative Human Resources Leader, Aisha has 19 years of impactful accomplishments nationwide and globally, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Organizational Development, and Field HR. In addition, she has worked with leaders at all levels within service and manufacturing industries. This has enabled Aisha to support and align with strategic business objectives from a distinct, yet holistic, HR standpoint. Presently, she uses her expertise talent management, adult learning, leadership development, diversity, and change management to positively impact the businesses, leaders, and employees with which she partners. 

Aisha earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, a Master’s in Education - Human Resources Organizational Development (HROD) and a Doctorate in Adult Education-HROD from the University of Georgia. Aisha is a member of the Society of Human Resources (SHRM), SHRM-Atlanta Chapter, National Black MBA Association, and holds SHRM-SCP and Lominger 360 certifications. 

Jacqueline Jones

Jacqueline Jones is an HR professional with over 8 years’ experience working in healthcare, property management and technology companies.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix. She is currently working toward achieving her SHRM- CP this Fall. Her areas of expertise include employee relations, employee recognition, training and development, compensation and performance management.  Jacqueline is currently Sr. Human Resources Generalist at INAP located in Atlanta, GA.

Prathan L. Powell Jr

Prathan L. Powell Jr is a world-class global HR leader specializing in lending expertise to Fortune 100 organizations like Nike, The Coca-Cola Company and Google.  He is currently living in Los Angele, but calls Atlanta, Georgia home. Prathan is also the owner and founder of Black In HR, a community of Black HR professionals around the United States. Black In HR focuses on offering networking through Linked IN, Groupme and Facebook; along with career services including HR-focused resumes, interview prep and negotiation training.

Zina Cooper, SHRM-CP, PHR

Zina Cooper is Regional HR Manager for Sonoco Products, former Director of Human Resources for the City of South Fulton and the owner of In HR Zone, LLC, a professional Human Resources Consulting firm. In addition to business consulting, she offers professional and executive coaching and is an awesome motivational speaker. Zina has worked for such leading organizations as Mercedes Benz USI, BLG Logistics, and Fresh Express. 

Zina Cooper has built a career in training and developing professionals in the workplace. She provides expert HR counseling, personal coaching, and mentors young people to perform at their best. 

Cooper received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio, a Mid-Level Management Certificate from Georgia Technical Institute in Atlanta, Georgia and is currently completing a MBA from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama. She is professionally credentialed through the Human Resource Certification Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management. 

Yvette Frierson 

Yvette Frierson is a versatile Human Resource professional with over 20 years of experience. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Business from Clark Atlanta University and a Master's Degree in Human Resources from Central Michigan University.  Yvette currently serves as a Career Coach. She is a champion for Diversity and Inclusion, a STEM enthusiast, and dynamic speaker. Additionally, I love to volunteer and give back.
