Greater Atlanta Chapter Election Results

There are three positions that were up for election for the 2020 year. The general election took place in the month of August and the results are in. Our chapter is pleased to announce the 2020 elections results. Read on to find out more about your President-Elect, LaKisha C. Brooks, Chief Finanical Officer, Eydie Castro, and Senior Advisor, Richard Fletcher. 

President-Elect - LaKisha C. Brooks

LaKisha C. Brooks has almost 15 years experience in training, coaching and facilitating management in areas such as manufacturing, healthcare and marketing. She has a global approach to consulting while training  clients in leadership, management and sales. Anyone who has seen LaKisha in action knows she can immediately establish and build rapport as she works the room setting expectations for success.

She is recognized internationally for her leadership expertise. For such accomplishments she has been featured on major television networks and regional press. Locally, she was selected by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as their Person on the Move. The success of her two books Leadership’s Got Everything to Do With It! Women’s Guide to the Sustainable Leader and Organization and Learn, Lead and Leave a Legacy: Advancing Women to the Top! have provided further evidence that she is an expert in her field. LaKisha has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from Georgia State University and a Master’s degrees in Administrative Leadership and another in Training and Development from Central Michigan University.




CFO - Eydie Castro

Eydie Castro is passionate about improving how people learn while making learning enjoyable, relevant, and productive. Fluent in French, English and Spanish, Eydie has designed and led global training projects for large and diverse groups and industries. She’s a learning strategist, mentor, instructional designer, facilitator, and organizational development professional. She has created learning interventions and managed learning design and delivery teams in the private, public, and military sectors. She facilitates a dynamic learning process, actionable change, and performance success from her unique perspective. 

She plans to make a significant difference in the Atlanta chapter’s ability to accomplish its mission through management of financial matters and compliance within legislative guidelines in order to sustain the growth of Greater Atlanta ATD. Her experience with upper management in the development of strategic business plans, KPIs and milestone reporting will be an asset to the group, particularly as it relates to non-profits. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, she takes pride in serving communities of all kinds. She earned a Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and International Affairs from Columbus State University.




Senior Advisor - Richard Fletcher

If you’ve ever eaten at Krystal’s or Zaxby’s, or were assisted by Wolf Camera or Sprint PCS, you can thank Richard for applying his award-winning expertise in managing their corporate training departments.

Richard has over 25 years of executive level experience in sales, operations, organizational development, training and talent management. He has built top-performing teams, tremendously improved compliance, and increased employee engagement at every company he’s engaged while saving them millions of dollars. He aligns learning and talent development strategy with the business strategy, and ensures that the learning and talent initiatives he initiates will positively impact the performance. He is a Past-President of the Greater Atlanta chapter and still advises chapters. He is a member of the Council for Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART). Richard received a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University. He is a certified EQ-I, EQ-360 administrator and received the Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) certification from CHART. When he’s not developing talent you’ll find him on the golf course or taking pictures as he travels the world.
