Just like the February weather with warm days popping up here and there, the buds on the trees, and the sun appearing, Atlanta ATD is shaking off the winter and getting ready to bloom in the year ahead! On February 5, we held the annual Meet Your Leaders webinar. The webinar was chock full of how you can get involved with the chapter to gain professional development, leadership, service, and community/networking opportunities! We also explained how Atlanta ATD is structured, and we teased some of the valuable programming and events coming up in 2019. Did you know that most folks who register for webinars do so to get the recording so they can watch it at a time that works best for them? Well you’re in luck—even if you didn’t register, here’s a link to the recording!
One key thing we shared was the email address for each of our VPs so that you can reach out to them directly with questions about volunteer opportunities.
Here’s that list:
Each of these folks would love to speak with you to help you find out how you can be involved in a way that meets your needs and bandwidth. We also shared a list of open positions. Of course, this list changes regularly, but here is where the Executive Board currently needs assistance:
Communities of Practice (COPs):
- Director of Learning and Development
- Director of Sales Enablement
- Director of New Partnerships
Marketing and Communications:
- Director of Communication
- Director, Social Media
- Director, Sponsorship
- Director, Membership, Marketing, and Branding
- Calendar Management position
- Website Images position
- Director, Online Engagement
Why are there some many roles? Because we’re volunteers! Many hands make light work! Note that even if you don’t have the bandwidth to take on a director role, there are many ways you can get involved like helping with registration at chapter meetings, joining us for the Hunger Walk or at theAtlanta Community Food Bank, or being a Tech Partner at an Atlanta Habitat for Humanity class. One other thing you’ll get from the webinar is the story behind how each of our Executive Board members grew, developed, and flourished through their relationship with Atlanta ATD. I hope viewing the webinar will inspire you to get the most out of your membership by getting as involved as you can. If you're ready to volunteer, take a moment to fill out this volunteer form.
Thanks for being a member of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the Association for Talent Development!
