Personal “re-branding” is necessary any time one changes professional roles. The concept of personal branding is fairly straightforward: it is a strategic activity by which a reputation is built. Visuals, verbiage and details such as font and color choice can positively (and negatively) affect public perception of a brand and its value.

Have you recently changed roles?  Are your personal branding efforts consistent with your new role?  LinkedIn is a well-known platform in which you can show the world who you are as a professional, the value you offer, and the skills and experience you bring to the table.  In this session, I will discuss how to update your LinkedIn profile with particular emphasis on those transitioning from the field of education into instruction design.

After attending this session, you'll be able to...

  • Ensure that your LinkedIn profile is consistent with your brand’s characteristics and story
  • Utilize keywords consistent with your new branding efforts
  • Increase the visibility of your brand on LinkedIn
