Mindmapping Techniques to Develop the Collaborative Workplace

This interactive workshop will show how mind mapping techniques and technology can be used to visually capture, synthesize, manage, and understand ideas and information in a variety of professional contexts. Using simple, easy-to-implement templates and processes, participants will learn how mind mapping can be used to help with workshop/training design, one-to-one coaching, group facilitation, project planning, goal setting and more. As modern Talent Development Professionals are expected to handle an ever-increasing volume and complexity of information, mind mapping should be considered an essential tool for early stage thinking and planning. This session will show you why, and how.

  • After participating in this session, participants will be able to leverage mind mapping in personal, one-to-one, and group work settings, using easy-to-use templates, combined with simple process guidance.
  • Participants will be able to create mind maps to represent a current situation (e.g. a SWOT analysis), and also work with others to construct a mind maps that effectively capture multiple inputs.
  • Attendees will also leave with a basic understanding of the capabilities of mind mapping software tools, focused on the universal features and functionality that can be found in all good mind mapping technology.
