Instructional Design for eLearning differs in many ways from a traditional instructor-led project. We must consider not only effective learning strategies, but also authoring and delivery technologies, project processes, and other aspects unique to eLearning. Understanding these design considerations is becoming increasingly important as the role of the traditional Instructional Designer transitions steadily more towards being an Instructional Technologist position. Join the ASTD T-BL SIG March 15th as we explore eLearning design considerations through discussion of best practices and lessons learned and view examples from the field.
This discussion will be led by Jay Lambert, CEO of Integrated Learning Services, Inc. -- an Atlanta-based company specializing in rapid eLearning design and development using tools such as Lectora, Captivate, Articulate, and Flash. Jay has over 18 years of experience in training and documentation, a master's in Instructional & Performance Technology, and has focused on eLearning design and development since 2002.
