The Independent Networking & Collaborating (INC) SIG presents: "Manage E-mail Overload."

Do you start your day drowning in a river of emails? If your Inbox is overloaded and you find it impossible to manage the volume, this course is the answer.

You will learn how to create and implement a simple system to cleanup the existing clutter.  Utilize this simple process to eliminate “over your limit” messages from the IT department.

Understand how to sort emails into the new system and then process out utilizing all the features in Outlook/Lotus Notes.  Set up rules to automatically manage emails as they are received.  Utilize this system to manage daily work flow and prevent future overload.

Discover a new way to work and decrease “technology” related stress as you unlock the power of these powerful tools you use everyday.

Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of Outlook or Lotus Notes

Objectives:
  • Implement a system to manage the Inbox
  • Utilize the system to clean up existing clutter and prevent future overload
  • Quickly get information from email into Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks
  • Understand how to automatically sort emails
  • Coordinate with PDA (Blackberry, Palm, etc.) to eliminate double processing of emails
Handouts will be provided with step by step instructions.

Speaker:


Daphene “DJ” Jones is a renowned time management expert, business productivity consultant, and speaker.   She founded DJ Consultants, Inc. in 1992 to transform the workplace and provide efficiency and productivity coaching and training.

Tired of the theories and so called “fluff” in the time management industry, she wanted to bring a real “meat and potatoes” solution to the chaotic workplace.  Her innovate principals have redefined the way businesses utilize existing tools already in place to reduce technology related stress, manage information overload, and produce results.

After an 18 year career at Southwestern Bell, she took early retirement and started a career teaching time management.  As she honed her time management skills, her passion began to develop that would drive her to start her own company.  Helping to “bring order out of chaos” in the workplace was her mantra. 

From Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, DJ has changed the workplace and help thousands of people take back control of their time with her simple and effective solutions.  TV and Radio personality, speaker and author of her soon to be released memoirs, she has enchanted audiences with her passion, humor, and desire to make a difference in the workplace.
