Come “Break the Ice” with us by experiencing four new activities to get your classes off to the right start!  Simply assembling people in a room and expecting that they will be ready, focused and productive may not be the best approach to learning.  Ice breaking activities play an important role as they help participants voice opinions, encourage involvement and energize the group.  Most importantly, choosing the right ice breaker will set the tone for learning and enhance the learning experience.  Local ASTD members will show you the value of carefully crafted ice breakers as they walk you through four icebreakers with purpose and usefulness.

Please email your willingness to present a favorite icebreaker and provide a brief description of that activity (purpose, time required, props needed and instructions) to annsonita@bellsouth.net by September 23, 2010.  The ASTD South GIG board members will select FOUR to be presented at the September 29th meeting.  Come, network with your fellow training professionals, and take home four fresh new ideas to “Break the Ice” at your next training session!

TRAVELING SOUTH

·       Take 75/85 South (From Alpharetta: GA 400 South; merge onto I/85 south; continue with following directions)

·       Exit 246 Fulton Street

·       Make a right onto Fulton Street

·       Continue straight and cross McDaniel Street

Concessions International will be approximately 2 blocks on the left; enter parking lot at 1st driveway

TRAVELING NORTH (from airport)
