The Differences Between LXP, HCM, and LMS
As the learning technology market grows, new labels for categories are formed, and their definitions can be confusing. Organizations may adopt a Learning Management System (LMS), a Human Capital Management System (HCM) or even a Learning Experience Platform (LXP), but what do these terms really mean? Which ones do you need at your organization? It’s enough to make even a seasoned Talent, HR or IT professional feel overwhelmed.
Different solutions fit different needs. While the LMS delivers formalized learning, and the HCM connects learning to recruiting and performance management, the LXP connects all learning, including self-directed informal learning, with in-demand skills and career development.
An article from Degreed describes the differences in terms of modes of transportation. HCM is one-size fits all like an airplane. LMS is a learning solution that is capable of supporting a large volume of people, but is stuck to a rigid schedule much like a train. An LXP, on the other hand, is paced to every individual, self-directed and flexible in the same way a car takes you wherever you want to go.
In this blog, find out why one system may work better for your organization than another and learn how the right combination of systems can work together to provide a complete learning solution.

There is no commitment at this time to deploy and needs are based on the scope of the event and location. At the time of an event, requests go out for individuals to respond.
