 Understanding and Enhancing Learner Engagement:

The value of analytics in your eLearning

Do you want to know if your learners are engaged or just going through the motions? Are you sure that your assessments correctly align with the training you provide? Have you ever wondered if (or why) users constantly get “that“ question wrong, and do you even know if they do or not? In this session, you will learn about a new Engagement Analytics tool to support comprehensive data collection for your Captivate content in seconds, and how you can quickly review charts and graphs to anonymously compare the progress of learners through your lessons. You'll learn how to compare different versions of the same course, or see how users interact with different courses  without the need for an expensive LMS.

You are welcome to bring your laptop and/or tablet to experience a course that demonstrates some of the engagement principles that the guest speaker will discuss and to generate engagement data to explore in real time.

Guest Speaker:  Steve Howard

Steve Howard has been an eLearning developer since 1997. Between 2001 and 2004 he ran Tomorrow's Key, an independent Authorware consultancy in the U.K. He moved to the U.S. and joined Magnolia Multimedia, where he continued eLearning and multimedia consulting until 2008 when he joined NASCO as an eLearning Technologist. Steve holds a Master's Degree in Multimedia Computing.

At NASCO, Steve is a driving force behind modernizing the approach to eLearning from traditional ‘page turner’ presentations into more engaging learning tools. Steve is also a member of the Adobe Captivate Advisory Board, and runs the Atlanta Adobe User Group.
