Part 1 of a 2 -part series. In this session, you meet User Experience (UX) designers and learn how they've navigated through their career and ended up in their current role.

During this session, you will:

• Gain an understanding of the connection between User Experience (UX) and Learning Experience Design (LXD)
• Learn ways to apply Design Thinking to a project
• See a wireframe best practices demonstration
• Leave with a project to test drive, and discuss best practices learned during the next session

Meet the Facilitator:

Cynthia A. Jenkins, MBA/PA, CIM, CECS Learning and Design Consultant, has 15+ collective years’ experience collaborating with HRBPs, senior management, leadership, and community to create training development for employees; from the frontline to the C-Suite. As the owner of CECS, LLC, a learning design and technology company, she is passionate about creating meaningful processes and experiences for people.

Meet the Panel Members:

Nekala Alexander  is a UX Designer and recent graduate of General Assembly's User Experience Design Immersive in Atlanta. Through her curiosity and passion for storytelling, she moved into the UX industry where she found the perfect home for empathy, technology, and innovation.

Eric Bluetein, CEO of Cudzu Creative, is a Senior leader with experience working for Fortune 500 companies, small companies, and start-ups. He uses creativity & scenario-based engagement to transform marketing and training into interactive and active experiences. 

Havana Nguyen is a User Experience Designer at Honeywell Aerospace with a specialty in Interaction Design. She is a writer for UX Design Collective and UX Planet, has a Youtube series on career, and does illustration and comics as well. In her previous life,  she ran a graphic design business and then worked as a consultant at a software company.Find her art and work at http://www.havananguyen.com

Yvonne D. Dodd, Outcome Manager & Coach, General Assembly,  helps career-changers get the confidence and strategy they need to brand themselves authentically and create lives and careers they love.  With a background in coaching, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit management, Yvonne has over 15 years of experience in leadership and personal development, marketing/communications, community building, and creating authentic brands. She has worked with everyone from high-level executives, career-changers, and entrepreneurs to underserved youth and families.
