Why is engagement in organizations a stagnant metric?  Despite all we know why have organizational leaders not been able to move the needle?

The secret lies in leaders taking a dual approach of macro- and micro-engagement. Effective leaders embrace that teams are comprised of individuals, each with their own needs, wants, desires, passions and levers. Leaders seek to strike the balance between the organizational vision, mission, values and objectives with the unique nature of each team member.

Participants of this interactive meeting will be able to:

  • Understand the critical role that Otherliness plays in being an effective leader;
  • Craft and engage in Discovery conversations that elicit the intrinsic motivators of team members;
  • Tap into insights for leaders as they sustain their own engagement; and
  • Define the concept of Coaching and its essential role in engaging the heart of every person on their team.

Barry Altland, the acclaimed thought leader and author of Engaging the Head, Heart and Hands of a Volunteer, presents on this important topic.
