It is a privilege and honor to serve as the VP of Marketing and Communications for 2020. In my profession as a Marketing Manager, I lead a team that implements on-air strategy for linear promotion. I have a passion for orchestrating human performance improvement techniques for my team. My belief is that every area of an organization thrives when it is using all its resources to garner success. My 14 years of work experience has provided the opportunity to implement my own innovative training curriculum used in the area of Sales and Marketing for Warner Media.

I have recently earned my Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology from Georgia State University. While attending GSU, I served as the Corporate Relations Representative for the Graduates in Instructional Design and Technology Organization. While serving as the Corporate Relations Representative, I provided information to students that help them in their transition to professional roles after college. My goal is to utilize my creativity to promote the values, events and goals of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of ATD. I began my involvement with ATD as a marketing volunteer in 2019.

Andrea is a seasoned professional in the Learning & Development field. She started off her career as an instructional designer; developing instructor-led and e-learning courses varying from technical and soft skills courses to entire sales curricula. She progressed in her career to such roles as learning consultant, performance analyst, trainer, facilitator, leadership development coach and learning strategist / business partner. In her current role as a Training Manager, she applies her strategic and critical thinking skills for the implementation of programs designed to develop leaders, sales teams and other employees within her organization.

She was called to Active Duty as a result of 9-11.

After spending a lifetime serving others, Andrea decided to continue her volunteerism while also developing and strengthening her professional skills. She had been a member or ATD for years and made the commitment to volunteer as the 2019 ACE Conference Director. She, along with a host of other volunteers, planned a successful event with hundreds of professionals in attendance. She hopes to bring that same passion, love and professionalism to events as the VP of Special Events.

Andrea has a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Drake University; M.A. in Training & Development with three graduate certificates in Adult Learning, Organizational Development and E-Learning from Roosevelt University; and begins pursuit of her PhD in Organizational Development in April 2020 from Benedictine University.
