The Training Manager reports to the Director of Talent Development and Learning and leads a team of training professionals that supports our Enterprise Operations business, including our contact center and claims processing teams. The goal of this team is to work in partnership with our internal client business to deliver a best-in-class learner experience to our new hires and incumbent team members. This leader will have primary responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a team of trainers in our Alpharetta, GA office. The Training Manager will also have responsibility for partnering with internal clients to develop near- and long-term learning strategies for our client businesses. This leader and their team work as a part of the larger Talent Development and Learning group and will collaborate cross-functionally with our Leadership Development, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, and other Training Delivery teams to drive consistency and efficiency across our team. This is a key leadership role within that team and will be an integral part of how we transform learning and development at Delta Dental. How you will make an impact: Manages and develops staff to achieve department objectives including determining staffing needs, setting goals, interviewing, selecting, coaching, and evaluating the performance of all direct reports. Leads special projects assigned by the Director. Recommends and implements team policies and procedures. Leads the establishment and maintenance of annual and multi-year learning strategies for internal clients. Partners with peer leaders to ensure the maintenance of learning content and systems for internal clients. Will maintain relationships with departments throughout the Enterprise to ensure consistent and clear communication and processes. Oversees the evaluation of learning programs and oversees the implementation of internal systems and procedures to ensure cost effectiveness, consistency and quality of training program delivery. Designs and develops metrics to assess the effectiveness of the various learning programs and works with metrics to evaluate training delivered to ensure consistency, quality and effectiveness. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Participates in developing and implementing enhancements and changes to the departmental procedures. A Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
