    Position Description
    The Senior Manager of Leadership and Talent Development is responsible for developing and implementing culturally aligned, enterprise‐wide developmental programs to meet the organizations goals and objectives.  Leads complex initiatives to drive behavior change and advancement through building and delivering comprehensive programs and curricula that may include assessments, coaching, development plans, cohort groups, and succession planning programs and resources.

    Responsible for development, execution, and measurement of L&D specialty programs such as: Accelerated Banker, Corporate Internship, Leadership Development, Mentoring, Top‐talent Programs, Inclusion & Diversity, etc.  Leads a team of Learning Business Partners/Program Managers responsible for training needs analysis, program design, delivery and execution.  Partners with Senior HR and line of business leaders to ensure developmental programs align to the developmental needs and gaps of the organization.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:
    Partners with HR leaders and business/executive leaders to develop and align critical leadership and talent programs to effectively achieve business goals, objectives, and overall strategic plan.  Functions as a thought‐leader and consultant by recommending relevant, cost‐effective and culturally aligned developmental solutions for Synovus. Analyzes HR data and employee survey results to recommend developmental solutions to drive and influence behavior change across the organization.  Works with HR leaders to leverage talent assessment tools to regularly assess the capabilities of leaders and recommend solutions for individual development plans.  Designs and delivers programs that build leadership capabilities required to meet business needs and priorities. Ensures programs are designed to help motivate and engage team members to expand their skillsets.  Provides oversight of current talent programs to ensure results are achieved through metrics and evaluation ‐‐ Accelerated Banker Program, Corporate Internship Program, Mentoring Programs, and Inclusion & Diversity.  Integrates Inclusion and Diversity developmental components into all leadership and talent programs and initiatives.  Leads a team of Learning Business partners who specialize in managing, delivering, and evaluating leadership, talent programs, HR initiatives, and new hire orientation programs.  Sets expectations for program management and performance and holds team members accountable for successful program execution.  Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to support their growth and development.  Ensure the ongoing development and engagement of the team, resulting in continuous improvement of processes, work products, and productivity.  Work with stakeholders to understand desired business outcomes and build a plan into each learning project for evaluating program success.  Analyzes HR data, employee survey results, and business performance data to recommend developmental priorities and solutions.  Works with internal partners to obtain and report on learning‐related data and provides insight into the overall HR analytics and dashboard.  Facilitate workshops, discussions, and collaboration groups with senior level audiences.  May coach and debrief senior level developmental assessments. Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area.  This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role.  Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion. Performs other related duties as required.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum Education: Requires a level of knowledge normally gained through completion of post‐graduate work.
    • Minimum Experience: 8 years experience
    • Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resource management, Psychology, or other closely related field. 8-10 years related experience in organizational development, human resources, learning & development, or program management. Experience managing and implementing organizational initiatives and programs, i.e. leadership development, coaching, mentoring, or similar initiatives. Excellent communication and leadership skills with strong capability to develop partnerships with HR and Senior business leaders. Strong influencing and partnering skills with the ability to navigate across the organization. Strategic thinker and thought‐leader with ability to execute.
    • Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Master's Degree in related field preferred. Strong familiarity with adult learning principles, learning technologies, delivery and collaboration tools. Experience with talent development assessment instruments and tools.

    Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Sit Regularly; Stand or Walk Regularly; Talk and Hear Regularly;  Ability to see objects up close or at a distance, use peripheral vision, identify basic colors; Use of  Hands/ability to reach  Weight/Force Exertion Not Required;  Travel required less than 10%; Valid Driver's License Required
