The Greater Atlanta Chapter of ATD is preparing for our Employee Learning Week Celebration in December, and we would love to have your organization participate with us. It is a great opportunity to promote your organization and your Talent Development Department!
Taking place the week of Dec 3rd, Employee Learning Week is an awareness campaign highlighting the important connection between learning and achieving organizational results. We want as many Atlanta area companies as possible to participate because training is more important now than ever before. As you know, the growing skills gap, and increased need to compete in today's economy, require organizations to develop a knowledgeable and highly skilled workforce.
How do I sign up?
Click the link below to register. The deadline November 1st!
What's in it for me/my organization?
Organizations participating in Employee Learning Week will be recognized as Champions of Learning and celebrated during our Greater Atlanta ATD December Chapter Meeting, December 4, 2018. We will be giving out “Champion of Learning” awards, and recognizing companies for amazing stories, and we have arranged for a press release.
Also, organizations that register for Employee Learning Week before the deadline of Nov 1st will receive a link to access hundreds of resources (articles, book summaries, videos, etc.) through EBSCO (www.ebsco.com) and Skillsoft (www.skillsoft.com). These resources can be distributed to your organization during Employee Learning Week. We have created learning plans (below) that correlate with content found within your free resources to help generate ideas for your organization.
Talent development is so important in the state of Georgia, that Governor Deal has signed a proclamation declaring December 3 through 7, 2018 as Employee Learning Week. Each of our Champions of Learning organizations will be invited to send a representative for a photo with Governor Nathan Deal at the Georgia State Capitol Building! View the 2018 Proclamation here.
Sample Employee Learning Week Plans:
Not sure what do for Employee Learning Week? We've created some sample weekly agenda plans using the five letter acronyms GUIDE, LEARN, STUDY, TEACH, and TRAIN. Each letter in an acronym represents a day of the week and the focus for that day.
Thank you for celebrating learning with us! I hope Employee Learning Week becomes a fantastic opportunity to promote the great work your talent development team (or team of one!) does at your organization!
