ATD Greater Atlanta
Updated December 30, 2020
Dear ATD Greater Atlanta Members,
We hope you and your families are well during this continued Covid-19 pandemic. We all look forward to the 2021 New Year to determine whether vaccinations will slow down the spread of coronavirus and if we can return to normal. We know many of our members are anxious about whether they will be able to meet again in-person or if things will continue to be virtual. These are difficult decisions, and there are any factors to consider, the most important of which is the health and safety for our members and potential meeting attendees.
After reviewing The Considerations for Events and Gathers provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, it is the decision of the 2021 Executive Board that ATD Greater Atlanta will remain in a Virtual Only Programing/Event/Meeting Space until July 2021. At that time (July 2021) the leadership team will revisit this stance and the safety measures provided by the Center of Disease Control and Prevention, along with ATD International to determine how we will proceed for the remainder of the year.
Though it does sadden us to remain in a virtual space fully, we hope there is understanding and continued engagement in our programming and events. We are all member volunteers in leadership and though we believe we could meet the standards of care reasonable for an organization to host a gathering – there are other factors to consider – finding willing host locations, screening, personnel staffing, etc. Too many factors that could endanger our members.
If an in-person meeting/event is approved by the Executive Board to be held – the gathered will meet the below specifications:
- Meet the CDC Guidelines for Group Gathers
- Executive Board must consult with TD International before approval – (Form Submission)
- Preferred Outdoors Space
- Small Groups – 5 – 10 people
- Maintaining of 6 Feet of Distance
- Must Wear a Mask all the time
- Ability to wash hands and sanitizer provided
- Environmental Prevention Practices Adherence (Cleaning and Disinfection)
Thank you for your consideration and understanding. We ask that all questions and inquiries about Covid-19 be directed to President@atdatlanta.org.
Sincerely,
2021 Chapter Leadership
